ANNOUNCEMENT OF EMPLOYMENT OF DRIVER/TELEPHONIST/CLERICAL ASSISTANT

SIX MONTHS TEMPORARY CONTRACT EMPLOYEE

Following ministerial authorization n.032/PO165818 of 20.04.2004, the Embassy of Italy, in the person of the appointed Officer of the Ambassador of Italy, will be expediting the procedures as set down in art.9 of Ministerial Decree D.M. n.032/655 of 16.3.2001 for the employment of a temporary contract employee, for a period of six months, as driver / telephonist / clerical assistant in accordance with art.153 – II paragraph – of Presidential Decree of the Republic D.P.R. n. 18 of 5.1.1967

Candidates interested in being considered for selection must possess the following requisites:

  1. be 18 years of age (at the date this Announcement is posted on the Consular Noticeboard)

  2. be of a healthy constitution

  3. have a minimum school leaving qualification (or similar)

  4. hold a driver's licence

Candidates who hold the above requisites are invited to forward, by no later than 28 May next, a brief application indicating their wish to participate and attaching a brief curriculum vitae.

The curriculum vitae must in any case contain:

  1. the applicant's place and date of birth

  2. qualification/s held

  3. applicant's address and contact numbers

The application must be forwarded to this Embassy by post to the postal address PO Box 463, Wellington, and can be either faxed beforehand on fax n. 04 4727 255 or emailed on ambwell@xtra.co.nz

Once it has been verified that the applicant meets the above requirements, he/she will be contacted at the beginning of June for an interview in order to assess the applicant's professional aptitude.

The successful candidate will be invited to present the following documentation as confirmation that he/she holds the necessary requisites:

(a) birth certificate; (b) medical certificate that the applicant is of sound body and mind; (c) minimum school leaving certificate – where the qualification has been obtained overseas and is not in the English language it must be endorsed with an official translation into English by the New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs and then endorsed with a declaration of its value by this Embassy; (d) driver's licence.

Italian and EU citizens may present special substitutive declarations of the certificates listed in letters (a) and (c).
