November 2004: Participation of the Italian Ambassador to the New Zealand expedition in Antartica

The last weekend of November Scott Base, the New Zealand base in Antarctica, hosted a meeting of scientists and renowned guests headed by Sir Edmund Hillary, famous for being the first to have conquered Mt Everest peak in 1953.

The expedition represented the occasion to take stock of both important scientific researches concerning environmental changes and initiatives related to the Antartica involving New Zealand and coincided with the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the Antartica crossing by Sir Hillary and the commemoration of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Mt Erebus disaster, the most serious airplane accident in New Zealand history.

The Ambassador of Italy, H.E. Liana Marolla, took part to the expedition in order to represent Italy, which, not only is present in the Antarctic continent with a scientific base, but cooperates in a direct way with the New Zealand site, 400 km far away, conforming to a treaty of bilateral cooperation.

The presence of the Ambassador has confirmed the validity of the agreement with New Zealand and more generally has pointed out the particular feeling existing between the two countries.

Nell’ultimo fine settimana di novembre Scott Base, la base neozelandese in Antartide, e’ stata sede di un raduno di scienziati ed ospiti illustri capitanati da Sir Edmund Hillary, celebre per aver conquistato per primo la vetta dell’Everest nel 1953.

La spedizione ha rappresentato l’occasione per fare il punto su importanti ricerche scientifiche inerenti i cambiamenti ambientali e su iniziative legate all’Antartide che vedono coinvolta la Nuova Zelanda ed e’ coincisa con la celebrazione del cinquantesimo anniversario dell’attraversamento dell’Antartide da parte di Sir Hillary e la commemorazione del venticinquesimo anniversario del disastro del Monte Erebus, l’incidente aereo piu’ grave della storia neozelandese.

L’Ambasciatore d’Italia in Nuova Zelanda, S.E. Liana Marolla, ha preso parte alla spedizione in rappresentanza dell’Italia, la quale, non solo e’ presente nel continente antartico con un'importante base scientifica, ma collabora in modo diretto con la postazione neozelandese, distante 400 Km, in conformita’ ad un trattato di cooperazione bilaterale.

La presenza dell’Ambasciatore ha ribadito la validita’ e fruttuosita’ dell’accordo con la Nuova Zelanda e, piu’ in generale, ha sottolineato un feeling particolare esistente tra i due paesi.

Guide “Higher Education in Italy” available on-line

The Italian Ministry for Education, Universities and Research (MIUR) has activated on its website the English edition of the International guide to the Italian Higher Education carried out by CIMEA, Centre of the Information about Mobility and Academic Equivalence, which works on the base of a convention between the MIUR and the RUI Foundation.

The guide addresses to the foreign public outlining the general set-up and the aims of the Higher Education system currently in force in Italy with reference to the old system and to the motivations that led the Government to introduce reforms.

The publication includes a list of the Universities, state and non-state ones, non-University education bodies, such as art and music schools, technical schools, and regional training and professional education courses. It offers an outline of the main Italian institutions related to education to which the public can refer and the organizations acting as official organs for the spreading of the Italian culture and language abroad. The guide also reports the courses of Italian language and civilization that are active both in Italy and abroad. Finally, it is possible to get information about distance learning in higher education.

Il MIUR,Ministero dell’Istruzione, dell’Universita’ e della Ricerca, ha messo a disposizione nel proprio sito l’edizione in lingua inglese della guida internazionale all’Istruzione Superiore in Italia realizzata dal CIMEA, il Centro di Informazione sulla Mobilità e le Equivalenze Accademiche, che opera sulla base di una convenzione tra il MIUR e la fondazione RUI.

La guida si rivolge al pubblico straniero delineando un profilo generale e gli obiettivi del sistema di istruzione universitario attualmente vigente in Italia con riferimento al vecchio sistema ed alle motivazioni che hanno spinto ad introdurre delle riforme.

La pubblicazione include una lista delle universita’, statali e non, dei corpi di istruzione superiore universitaria, come scuole nel campo dell’arte e della musica, nel campo militare e tecnico, dei corsi di formazione regionale ed offre una panoramica delle istituzioni principali legate all’istruzione a cui il pubblico puo’ far riferimento e delle organizzazioni che agiscono come organi ufficiali per la diffusione della cultura e della lingua italiana all’estero. November 2004: Promotional Initiative in New Zealand, organized by the Italian Trade Commission, in the nautical and related accessories sector

From November 24th to 28th Auckland has hosted the promotional initiative of the Italian pleasure nautical sector in New Zealand, organized by ICE, the Italian Trade Commission, together with UCINA, the National Union of Shipyards and Nautical Factories and Allied Products, and with the support of the New Zealand Marine Industry Association.

The initiative consisted of a workshop and bilateral meetings and was characterized by the participation of some Italian Companies, including HP High Pressure from Zibido San Giacomo, Milan (desalination and inverse osmosis plants), CM Style from Rome (marine fabrics), Sic Divisione Elettronica from Lecce (nautical equipment) and 3WD Moulds from Arezzo (know-how and technology).

During this mission the Italian delegates presented to the New Zealand market various Italian companies supplying both products and know-how and met New Zealand operators of the nautical sector, including boat builders, importers, distributors and dealers of nautical products.The initiative also included meetings with officers of the Ministry of Industry, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand and the Auckland Regional Chamber of Commerce, plus visits to shipyards and pleasure boat centres.

The mission represented a first approach to make the products of Italian derivation, well known for their quality and innovation, get into a market that, although small, has remarkably distinguished itself for the last few years by the production of excellent pleasure boats, placing seventh in the list of the countries producing super yachts, and, at the same time, has acquired a considerable image at international level through the results achieved in the last editions of the America’s Cup.

Novembre 2004: Iniziativa promozionale in Nuova Zelanda, organizzata dall'ICE, nel settore della nautica e relativa componentistica

Dal 24 al 28 Novembre ha avuto luogo ad Auckland l’iniziativa promozionale del settore nautico di diporto italiano in Nuova Zelanda, organizzata dall’ICE, Istituto Nazionale per il Commercio Estero, in concomitanza con l’UCINA, l’Unione Nazionale Cantieri ed Industrie Nautiche ed Affini, e con l’appoggio in loco della New Zealand Marine Industry Association.

L’iniziativa si e’ concretizzata attraverso un workshop ed incontri bilaterali ed ha visto partecipare varie ditte italiane, tra cui HP High Pressure di Zibido San Giacomo, Milano, (impianti dissalatori e di osmosi inversa), CM Style di Roma (tessuti marini), Sic Divisione Elettronica di Lecce (accessori di nautica) e 3WD Moulds di Arezzo (know how e tecnologia).

In questa missione i delegati italiani dunque presentato al mercato neozelandese ditte italiane che forniscono non solo prodotti ma anche know-how ed hanno incontrato operatori del settore nautico neozelandese, inclusi costruttori di imbarcazioni, importatori, distributori e negozianti di prodotti nautici.L’iniziativa ha compreso anche incontri con funzionari del Ministero dell’Industria, con la Camera di Commercio Italiana in Nuova Zelanda e la Camera di Commercio di Auckland, oltre a visite a cantieri e centri di nautica da diporto.

La missione si e’ posta come un primo approccio per introdurre i prodotti di derivazione italiana, riconosciuti da sempre per la qualita’ e l’innovazione, in un mercato che, seppur piccolo, negli ultimi anni si e’ distinto notevolemente nella produzione di ottime imbarcazioni da diporto, arrivando ad occupare la settima posizione nella classifica dei paesi produttori di superyacht, ed ha al contempo acquisito una considerevole immagine a livello internazionale attraverso i risultati ottenuti nelle ultime edizioni dell’America’s Cup.

The numerous initiatives that we have already undertaken during these years are an eloquent evidence of the seriousness of our commitment. Nell’assumere l’incarico di Ministro degli Affari Esteri della Repubblica Italiana, sono molto lieto di rivolgere il mio più caloroso saluto ai nostri connazionali all’estero.
Essi conoscono quanto sia importante, per il Governo al quale ho l’onore di appartenere e per me personalmente, adoperarsi per il rafforzamento dei legami tra gli italiani nel mondo ed una Patria a cui essi hanno dato tanto, sicuramente più di quanto abbiano sinora ricevuto.
Le numerose iniziative che abbiamo già intrapreso nel corso di questi anni sono una testimonianza eloquente della serietà del nostro impegno. FAREWELL MESSAGE OF THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS FRANCO FRATTINI TO THE ITALIAN COMPATRIOTS

Rome, November 18th 2004

Having been appointed Deputy President and Commissioner of the new European Commission and then preparing to leave my assignment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Republic, I wish to address a warm and grateful thought to the whole body of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During those years I have been honoured to spend as the leader of the Italian diplomacy, we managed to achieve relevant results, which is fair to be proud of. We were able to project on a global scale interests and principles of our foreign policy in a way which was effective, opportune and adequate to a season of meaningful changes in the international context which are still in progress.

We reached historical goals, among which it stands out the difference in quality in the European construction consecrated by the signing of the Constitutional Treaty, not by chance held in Rome, as an acknowledgement to the determining contribution assured by Italy.

Above all, we succeeded in laying the foundations for an innovative approach to foreign policy. A dynamic, open and integrated approach that could draw thoroughly on the enormous potentiality of our external projection in each of its components; that could turn the concrete ability of making the most of the Italy-system into the constant compass and into the reliable principle of evaluation of the diplomatic action efficacy.

In this way we managed to promote a mentality reform, previous to the structures reform, destined to constitute a precious value added and bring lasting benefits to the competitiveness of the entire country-system. It would have not been possible without the irreplaceable contribute of the expertise, sense of duty, loyalty and abnegation of You all, whom, on this occasion, I wish to thank whole-heartedly.

MESSAGGIO DI COMMIATO DEL MINISTRO DEGLI ESTERI FRANCO FRATTINI AI CONNAZIONALI ITALIANI

Roma, 18 novembre 2004

Nel momento in cui, a seguito della mia nomina a Vice Presidente e Commissario della nuova Commissione Europea, mi accingo a lasciare l’incarico di Ministro degli Affari Esteri della Repubblica Italiana, desidero rivolgere un pensiero caloroso e riconoscente a tutto il personale del Ministero degli Affari Esteri.

In questi anni che ho avuto il privilegio di trascorrere alla guida della diplomazia italiana, siamo riusciti ad ottenere risultati di sicuro rilievo, di cui è giusto essere orgogliosi. Siamo riusciti a proiettare su scala globale interessi e principi della nostra politica estera in modo efficace, tempestivo ed adeguato ad una stagione di grandi trasformazioni del contesto internazionale, tuttora in corso.

Abbiamo raggiunto traguardi di portata storica, tra cui spicca il salto di qualità nella costruzione europea consacrato dalla firma del Trattato costituzionale, non a caso tenutasi a Roma, in riconoscimento del contributo determinante assicurato dall’Italia.

Soprattutto, siamo riusciti a porre le basi per un approccio innovativo alla politica estera. Un approccio dinamico, aperto ed integrato che sappia attingere fino in fondo all’enorme potenzialità della nostra proiezione esterna in ciascuna delle sue componenti; che faccia della capacità concreta di valorizzazione del sistema-Italia la bussola costante e il metro di valutazione attendibile dell’efficacia dell’azione diplomatica.

Siamo in questo modo riusciti a promuovere una riforma della mentalità, prima ancora che delle strutture, destinata a costituire un valore aggiunto prezioso, a recare benefici durevoli alla competitività dell’intero sistema-Paese. Non sarebbe stato possibile senza l’insostituibile apporto della competenza, del senso del dovere, della lealtà e dell’abnegazione di tutti Voi, che con l’occasione desidero ringraziare di cuore.

November 2004:Opening of the exhibition about the Italian community in New Zealand

On November 12^th the National Museum in Wellington “Te Papa Tongarewa’ has opened the exhibition “Qui tutto bene – The Italians in New Zealand” which gives a picture of the history of the Italian settlement in New Zealand until nowadays, providing the visitors with a historic and anthropologic path through the use of  objects, videos and witnesses.   

The Exhibition has been realized through the cooperation between the museum and the Italian community whose members, set up into a commitee, have generously accepted to share their experiences and offered a rich collection of photos and objects.

The opening of the exhibition was framed by a weekend celebrating Italian culture. The official opening night, that gathered the museum staff, the Italian Community and the Italian Embassy, was followed by two days during which the Museum offered its visitors concerts of  Italian folk melodies and songs from Naples, lectures of Neapolitan poems and extracts from comedies by Eduardo De Filippo, tarantella performances and the screening of the Italian movie “Out of the world”. The events were characterized by the participation of Italian people, particularly members of the Club Garibaldi in Wellington, a very ancient association being 124 years old.

The Museum “Te Papa” will host the exhibition until March 2007.

Novembre 2004: Apertura della Mostra sulla comunita’ italiana in Nuova Zelanda

Il 12 Novembre il Museo Nazionale di Wellington “Te Papa Tongarewa” ha inaugurato la mostra “Qui tutto bene- Gli Italiani in Nuova Zelanda” che ricostruisce la storia dello stanziamento italiano in Nuova Zelanda fino ai giorni nostri, offrendo un percorso storico e antropologico attraverso oggetti, video e testimonianze.
L’esposizione e’ stata realizzata attraverso la collaborazione tra il museo e la comunita’ italiana i cui membri, costituitasi in un comitato, hanno generosamente accettato di condividere le proprie esperienze ed offerto una ricca collezione di foto ed oggetti.

L’apertura dell’esposizione e’ stata celebrata con un fine settimana all’insegna dell’italianita’. L’inaugurazione ufficiale, che ha visto riuniti lo staff del museo, la comunita’ italiana e l’Ambasciata d’Italia, e’ stata seguita da due giorni in cui il museo ha offerto ai suoi visitatori concerti con melodie e canzoni popolari italiane, in particolare partenopee, la lettura di poesie napoletane e di estratti delle commedie di Eduardo De Filippo, esibizioni di tarantella e la proiezione della pellicola italiana “Fuori dal mondo”. Gli eventi hanno visto la partecipazione di figure italiane, per lo piu’ membri del Club Garibaldi di Wellington, associazione di antica data con i suoi 124 anni.

"Investinitaly" - a way to invest in Italy

"Sviluppo Italia" (The National Agency for Enterprise Development and Investments Attraction) and ICE (Italian National Institute for Foreign Trade) have signed an agreement to re-launch the image of the country as a location drawing the attraction of international enterprises.
The protocol includes the creation of "Investinitaly", a new body, which, by making use of skills, resources and structures of both ICE and Sviluppo Italia, will represent the only national referent for the foreign businessmen interested in investing in the Italian territory.
"Investinitaly" is an institutional joint-venture between ICE and Sviluppo Italia acting as the only point of reference to the companies seeking for winning solutions to expand their business in Italy.
Many initiatives will soon be launched under the mark "Investinitaly": elaboration and carrying out of yearly plans including objectives and actions of promotion and communication, development of an on-line domain lately opened, activities of promotion abroad through the respective networks and structures, creation of a shared platform supposed to gather all data related to the possible investors.

Nasce "Investinitaly" per investire in Italia

Tra "Sviluppo Italia" (l'Agenzia nazionale per lo sviluppo d'impresa e l'attrazione di investimenti) e l'ICE (Istituto nazionale per il Commercio Estero) e' stato raggiunto un accordo per rilanciare l'immagine del Paese come location attrattiva per gli imprenditori internazionali.
Il protocollo prevede la nascita di "Investinitaly", il nuovo soggetto che, utilizzando le competenze, le risorse e le strutture di ICE e di Sviluppo Italia, rappresentera' per gli imprenditori esteri il referente unico nazionale per la realizzazione di investimenti nel territorio italiano.
"Investinitaly" e' una joint-venture istituzionale tra Sviluppo Italia e ICE che si pone come unico punto di riferimento per le aziende alla ricerca di soluzioni vincenti per espandere in Italia il proprio business.
Molte sono le iniziative che saranno avviate a breve sotto il marchio "Investinitaly": elaborazione e attuazione di piani annuali contenenti obiettivi e azioni di promozione e comunicazione, potenziamento di un portale on line aperto di recente, attivita' di promozione all' estero attraverso le rispettive reti e strutture operative, creazione di una piattaforma comune che raccolga i dati relativi ai potenziali investitori.

October 24 2004: Italian Music Concert

On Sunday October 24, for the third year, a concert of Italian music organized by Wilma Laryn, president of the Dante Alighieri Society of Christchurch, was hold in Christchurch, in order to promote the radio program CARTOLINA and Italian culture in general.
The event, realised in collaboration with the School of Music of the University of Canterbury and under the patronage of Her Excellency the Ambassador of Italy Liana Marolla, took place in the Provincial Chambers at 4.30 pm. The concert concerned music by Claudio Monteverdi and was performed by a group of four elements.

24 Ottobre 2004: Concerto di musica italiana

Domenica 24 ottobre, per il terzo anno consecutivo, si e’ tenuto a Christchurch un concerto di musica italiana organizzato da Wilma Laryn, presidente della Societa’ Dante Alighieri di Christchurch, allo scopo di promuovere il programma radiofonico CARTOLINA e la cultura italiana in genere.
L’evento, realizzato in collaborazione con la Scuola di Musica dell’Universita’ di Canterbury e patrocinato da Sua Eccellenza l’Ambasciatore d’Italia Liana Marolla, ha avuto luogo presso le Provincial Chambers alle 16.30. Il concerto ha proposto musiche di Claudio Monteverdi ed e’ stato eseguito da un ensemble di quattro elementi.

'October 2004: Pianoforte Recital'
On October 7 Mr Christian Leotta, Italian Classical Pianist, performed at the Wellington Town Hall. The Ambassador of Italy, Her Excellency Liana Marolla and Her Worship the Mayor of Wellington, Kerry Prendergast hosted this event by invitation only.
Mr Leotta played music by Wagner, Beethoven, Scarlatti and Debussy.

'September 2004: Launch of Maserati's Quattroporte'
On September 22 Her Excellency Liana Marolla, Ambassador of Italy hosted a reception that was hold at the Embassy Residence in conjuction with Mr Mark Darrow, Managing Director of Continental Car Services, Auckland Ltd, marking the Wellington VIP Launch of the MASERATI QUATTROPORTE.

'Ottobre 2004: Recital di Pianoforte'
Il 7 Ottobre il Maestro Christian Leotta, Pianista Classico Italiano, si e’ esibito presso la Town Hall di Wellington. L’Ambasciatore d’Italia, Sua Eccellenza Liana Marolla e Sua Eminenza il Sindaco di Wellington, Kerry Prendergast hanno realizzato questo evento con partecipazione su invito.
Il Maestro Leotta ha eseguito musiche di Wagner, Beethoven, Scarlatti e Debussy.

'Settembre 2004:Lancio della nuova Maserati Quattroporte'
Il 22 Settembre Sua Eccellenza Liana Marolla, Ambasciatore d’Italia, in collaborazione con il Sig. Mark Darrow, Consigliere Delegato della Continental Car Services, Auckland Ltd., ha tenuto un ricevimento presso la Residenza dell’Ambasciata per il lancio sul mercato della nuova MASERATI QUATTROPORTE.

18-21 May 2004: Visit in Italy of Prime Minister Helen Clark

Prime Minister Helen Clark visited Italy on the occasion of the commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the Battle of Cassino in which 343 New Zealand soldiers lost their lives. Thanks to a special flight made available by the New Zealand Government, parliamentarians, the Chief of Defence, fifty two returned servicemen (besides those who arrived in Cassino by private means) and journalists were able to take part in the commemorative events.

The Maori Cultural Group was also present on this occasion.

Italy was represented at the ceremony by the Vice President of the Senate the Hon. Lamberto Dini and by the Deputy Secretary of Foreign Affairs, the Hon. Margherita Boniver.

The commemoration events of Cassino provided the occasion for bilateral meetings by way of confirmation of the excellent state of relations between Italy and New Zealand and gave a further impetus to contacts and to future initiatives, in all sectors.

The huge success of Prime Minister Clark’s visit, accompanied by the New Zealand Ambassador to Italy, Julie McKenzie and by the Ambassador of Italy to New Zealand, Liana Marolla, was brought to a successful conclusion with the long and intense meeting with Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi (more than 3 hours long), which concluded with a press conference at Palazzo Chigi, testament to the excellent relations between the two countries.

Another decisive aspect of the visit was the signing of the new Agreement for Cinematographic co-production with the Minister of Cultural Affairs, Urbani, thanks to which the possibilities for collaboration between operators in this field of both countries have been expanded.

Ms Clark also had meetings with the President of the Senate, Marcello Pera, and with the Deputy Secretary for Foreign Affairs, the Hon. Margherita Boniver. During her time there she also visited an important sales market “Loro Piana” in Rome (New Zealand wool is in fact used by the Italian brand for the manufacture of many garments) and also took part in a round table organised by the European Design Institute in order to familiarise herself with aspects of “know how” that characterise “Made in Italy”.

18-21 maggio 2004: Visita in Italia del Primo Ministro Helen Clark

Il Primo Ministro Helen Clark si e' recato in Italia in occasione della commemorazione del sessantesimo anniversario della battaglia di Cassino in cui persero la vita 343 soldati neozelandesi. Grazie ad un volo speciale messo a disposizione dal Governo neozelandese hanno potuto partecipare alle celebrazioni esponenti parlamentari, il Capo di Stato Maggiore della Difesa, cinquantadue veterani (ai quali si sono aggiunti coloro che hanno raggiunto Cassino con mezzi privati) e giornalisti.

Presente in occasione della visita anche il Maori Cultural Group.

Alla cerimonia l’Italia era rappresentata dal Vice Presidente del Senato On. Lamberto Dini e dal Sottosegretario di Stato per gli Affari Esteri, On. Margherita Boniver.

Le commemorazioni di Cassino hanno fornito l’occasione per incontri a livello bilaterale che hanno confermato l’eccellente stato delle relazioni fra l’Italia e la Nuova Zelanda e dato ulteriore impulso ai contatti ed a iniziative future, in ogni settore.

Il grande successo della visita della Signora Clark, accompagnata dall’Ambasciatore neozelandese in Italia, Julie McKenzie e dall’Ambasciatore d’Italia in Nuova Zelanda, Liana Marolla, e’ stato coronato dal lungo ed intenso incontro con il Primo Ministro Silvio Berlusconi (oltre 3 ore), conclusosi con una conferenza stampa a Palazzo Chigi, facente stato delle ottime relazioni fra i due paesi.

Altro punto qualificante della visita e’ stata la firma del nuovo Accordo di co-produzione cinematografica con il Ministro della Cultura Urbani, grazie al quale sono state ampliate le possibilita’ di collaborazione fra gli operatori del settore dei due Paesi.

La Signora Clark ha inoltre avuto incontri con il Presidente del Senato, Marcello Pera, e con il Sottosegretario di Stato per gli Affari Esteri, On. Margherita Boniver. Nel corso della sua permanenza ha visitato un prestigioso punto vendita “Loro Piana” a Roma (la lana neozelandese e’ infatti utilizzata dal marchio italiano per la fabbricazione di molti capi) ed ha partecipato ad una tavola rotonda organizzata dall’”Istituto Europeo di Design” per conoscere piu’ da vicino alcuni aspetti dell’”know how” che caratterizzano il “Made in Italy”.

19th Italian scientific expedition in Antarctica

The end of March saw the conclusion of the 19th Italian scientific expedition in Antarctica. The campaign consisted in scientific and technological research activities undertaken by the Italian vessel "Italica".

The campaign commences in October each year and concludes in February. The "Italica" is responsible for re-supplying the Italian Base in Antarctica and also conducts oceanographic research activities. At the end of the most recent expedition last March, "Italica" was welcomed at Christchurch in the presence of Ambassador Liana Marolla who at the same time met with scientists and researchers. On 5 March the local Christchurch newspaper, "The Press", prepared a feature on the vessel at the end of the Campaign .

19th Spedizione scientifica italiana in Antartide

Si e’ conclusa a fine marzo la 19^ campagna scientifica italiana in Antartide. La campagna consiste in attivita’ di ricerca scientifica e tecnologica che vengono realizzate attraverso la Nave Italica.

Essa apre ogni anno ad ottobre e chiude a febbraio. La Nave Italica effettua rifornimenti alla base italiana in Antartide e realizza attivita’ di ricerca oceanografica. In occasione della fine dell’ultima campagna lo scorso marzo, la Nave Italica e’ stata accolta a Christchurch in presenza dell’Ambasciatore Liana Marolla che ha in quell’occasione incontrato scienziati e ricercatori. Il giornale “The Press” di Christchurch il 5 marzo ha preparato un servizio sulla Nave e sulla conclusione della Campagna.

Last 25th of March in Auckland the new "Maserati -Quattroporte" was officially launched, in the presence of the Ambassador of Italy to New Zealand, Liana Marolla. The car is awarded "the world's most beautiful car".

Il 25 Marzo scorso e’ stata presentata ufficialmente a Auckland la nuova “Maserati – Quattroporte”, in presenza dell’Ambasciatore d’Italia, Liana Marolla. L’auto e’ stata nominata “la piu’ bella del mondo”.

31st January -4 February 2004: VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND OF MARCHESE LAMBERTO FRESCOBALDI

From 31st January to 4 February 2004, Marchese Lamberto Frescobaldi took a promotional trip to New Zealand to promote Frescobaldi wines.

He attended meetings in Napier, Blenheim, Wellington and Auckland. He visited several of the most important vineyards in the Country and attended meetings with the competent local bodies.

Liana Marolla, the Ambassador of Italy to New Zealand, hosted a wine testing promotional function, with the attendance of more then 100 guests including Diplomatic corps, local Authorities, members of the cultural field, experts and journalists in the field, importers and distributors, the Italian community.

31 gennaio-4 febbraio 2004: VISITA IN NUOVA ZELANDA DEL MARCHESE LAMBERTO FRESCOBALDI

Dal 31 gennaio al 4 febbraio 2004, il Marchese Lamberto Frescobaldi ha effettuato una missione in Nuova Zelanda per la promozione dei vini Frescobaldi.

Ha avuto incontri a Napier, Blenheim, Wellington, Auckland. Ha visitato numerose vinerie delle aree vinicole piu’ importanti della Nuova Zelanda e incontrato le competenti Autorita' locali.

L'Ambasciatore d'Italia in Nuova Zelanda Liana Marolla ha ospitato in Residenza una serata promozionale con degustazione, con la partecipazione di oltre 100 ospiti inclusi Corpo Diplomatico, Autorita' locali, mondo della cultura, esperti e giornalisti nel settore, importatori e distributori, la comunita' italiana.
